Putting the SouthSide of Chicago on the Map as the Place to Be

On the first weekend of June every year, the Hyde Park Brew Fest heralds over 50,000 attendees to celebrate the beginning of summer and to enjoy a free weekend filled with some of the best music, food and local beer in the city.

For two days, the southside of Chicago becomes THE place to be. Past years have seen the likes of innovative hip-hop DJ and Producer, DJ Jazzy Jeff known most for his Grammy-winning work with Will Smith as DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, Chicago born house music DJ Terry Hunter, world famous record producer DJ Clark Kent, known for producing monster hit tracks for artists such as Lil’ Kim, The Notorious B.I.G., Estelle, 50 Cent and more, DJ Biz Markie and DJ and producer DJ D Nice, a beatboxer, rapper, and photographer, a man of many talents.

Over 50 breweries will be on-site offering a range of ciders and beers, delicious dishes served by over 20 local restaurants and food trucks with the event brings with it an estimated $2.6M in economic impact to the southside neighborhood

During the fest we shared a detailed IG Story to allow followers a view inside the fest; we further encouraged engagement by sharing follower content tagged with @hpbrewfest and #HPBF2019.

We also created custom filters for use by festival attendees.
