Dani Jackson-Smith

Multicultural and Integrated Experiences Consultant

As myWHY agency’s Multicultural and Integrated Experiences Consultant, I’m an award-winning creative powerhouse with a passion for championing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion both within our industry and beyond. My journey in storytelling and brand building has been anything but conventional.

My storytelling roots trace back to my early days as a freelance videographer and reporter at WKBW ABC 7, where I covered major cultural moments like the BET Hip Hop Awards and Rip the Runway. Post-graduation, I co-founded Street Knowledge Media in New York City, where I had the privilege of helping launch the career of the late Nipsey Hussle.

Chicago called me home, and I answered by making my mark at some of the world’s most prestigious agencies. At Edelman, as VP of Influence, I orchestrated partnerships with iconic brands like Starbucks, Noxzema, Del Monte, Barilla, and Pivotal Ventures. My role as VP of DEI & Multicultural Marketing allowed me to develop cultural strategies for powerhouses like Foot Locker and Church & Dwight. As Senior Producer, I brought unforgettable experiences to life for Kellogg’s, Nintendo, and Samsung.

My work hasn’t gone unnoticed – I’m honored to be recognized as an ADCOLOR Rockstar and Chicago Ad Federation Rising Star, with a Silver Addy and Gold Clio adorning my shelf. But perhaps what brings me the most joy is serving as an auxiliary board member for Chicago’s oldest Boys & Girls Club, Off The Street Club, where I get to give back to the community that shaped me.

At myWHY, I continue to push creative boundaries while ensuring our work resonates authentically across diverse audiences and creates lasting impact.
